Wildwind nodded. "They are and they will be great warriors. You can sleep now. I will watch the kits." He wanted her to sleep because he saw how kits got tougher when they got older.

"Okay." Morninggaze meowed gratefully. She pressed her nose into Wildwinds pelt before she lay her head down and tried to go to sleep.

Morninggaze fell into a restless twitching sleep, filled with horrible dreams. One was of a hawk coming down and taking all of her kits. Another was about a fox breaking in to the nursery while she was asleep and it killed her mate and her kits. She was twitching and mumbling the entire time.

Wildfire pressed close to his mate. He began to rasp his tounge over her head and shoulders to calm her down. "It's okay, Morninggaze." he meowed softly. "Nothings going to happen."

Morninggaze looked at her mate fondly. He was always there to comfort her. She rasped her tongue over his head and fell into a deep sleep. One not filled with nightmares thankfully.

Wildwind was grateful that his mate would finally sleep easier. He rested his head on her shoulder and kept a silent watch.

For once since the kits were born, Morninggaze finally got a good nights sleep.

Wildwind fell into a light sleep but made sure he could catch the kits if they tried to get away,

Morninggaze woke up and got up to strech her legs. Her tail brushed by Wildwinds paw.

"Yes." Morninggaze meowed, "I was just stretching." She layed down, facing Wildwind.

Wildwind nodded. He relaxed and looked at his mate. His eyes glowed with mischief. He flicked his tail at Morninggaze's head and ear.
