Dustfoot darted ahead of the apprentice and sat down, waiting for him.

Shadepaw ran out to the forest. He was out of breath, they ran fast. Shadepaw looked up at his mentor and asked, "So, what are we doing?"

Shadepaw looked uncertian, but threw him self at Dustfoot with high speed. His claws were unshelthed, and he tried to jump onto Dustfoot's back to attack.

Dustfoot jumped to the side. "Try something I don't expect."

As Shadeaw landed, he nodded. He looked at Dustfoot's feet. He ran as if he was going to attack his feet, but at the last moment jumped to roll him over and get his soft belly fur.

Shade paw got back to the ground and gasped, "O-ok..." Shadepaw closed his eyes and saw himself jumping at Dustfoot. He then saw that he hit him at the perfect angle...Shadepaw jumped at Dustfoot, hitting him near the left shoulder blade. It knocked Dustfoot over.

Dustfoot jumped up and mewed, "Very good! Now defend yourself." He leapt at the younger cat.

Shadepaw had not time to think. When Dustfoot came at him, Shade paw lept into the air, just brisking past him.

Dustfoot dug his claws into the ground and reared his hindlegs up and pushed the apprentice to the ground. Then he spun around and leapt.

Shadepaw hit the ground hard, and went limp as Dustfoot leaped on him. Shadepaw was breathing hard, and his breaths were less.

Shadepaw staggered up. He was swaying slightly but siad, "I'm ok." He the jumped at Dustfoot. Once he got him on the ground he said, "Remember, never let your gaurd up." Shade paw got off of Dust foot and sat down. He was tired.

Dustfoot padded over and mewed. "You've done well...how about we get some rest the meet here first thing tomorrow?"
