smokestar jumped up on to the highrock and yowled "all cats old anough to catch there prey gather around the high rock for a clan meeting " he yelled with great confidence . " smokekit and lavenderkit you are ready to become apprentices " he said " smokepaw your mentor will be emeraldflame . emeraldflame you are ready for your first apprentice I hope you pass along your energy and determanation to him . lavender paw you show great promice I will be your mentor ."he said hoping he made the right choice . " the clan meeting is now over . " he yowled

lavenderpaw walked up to her new mentor. "What will we do now, Smokestar?" she asked.
Smokepaw looked up at emeraldflame. "can we go to the thunderpath, Emeraldflame?" he asked. he always wanted to go to the thunderpath.

lavenderpaw looked at her mentor with sparkling eyes. "All right. lets go!" she said over her sholder as she bounded away to the edge of the camp. "Where first?" she said when she was there, and Smokestar had caught up. she kneeded the ground impatiently.
"All right, emeraldflame." he fallowed his mentor to the fourtrees. he knew that lavenderpaw would be out of sight from smokestar before she could say 'mouse'.
