Tanglekit sat down beside her and gently groomed her fur. He wouldn't leave her now...he just couldn't.

Talonkit leaned over and helped him. She ran a comforting lick over his cheeck and down his back. Emberkit watched Dovekit and decided to groom her himself.

When dovkit felt Talonkit's soft rasping toung on her, even in her sleep, she smiled.

Tanglekit smiled down at her then was overcome by exaustion. He curled up beside her, but didn't go to sleep. He looked at his brunt leg and then at Dovekit, before yawning and drifting into a light sleep where he dreamed of flames, smoke, fear and death.

Talonkit stood over Tanglekit as Emberkit watched Dovekit. They were going to stay right there no matter what.

Dovkit felt Talonkit shudder. she opened her eyes, and liked his forhead, hoping to clam him.

Talonkit watched them and felt envy. She wanted a sibling too but her mother only had her. She was happy that they had excpted her as a sibling.

Dovekit awoke, and saw the look on Talonkit's face. "wanna go for a walk?" she said. she now ha the evegry. 'Just you and me" Dovekit whispered, not wanting to wake the other kits.

A few minutes later Tanglekit woke up to realize Dovekit was gone. He gasped and caught her scent. Then he sighed. This was so like her.
