Lightningpaw's apprentice ceremony

It was moonhigh.Padding out from her den to the Highrock, Hawkstar smiled contently to herself. Her Clan was flourishing, and tonight, she was here to name a mentor to the apprentice, Lightningpaw. Pausing at the base of the Highrock, she flicked her tail and lept up gracefully. Once there, she yowled the age-long greeting:" May all cats old enough to catch their prey join beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Greenfire and Swiftnight were sharing tongues when they heard the summoning call."Bet you anything you like that this is for naming Lightningpaw's mentor!"Greenfire purred."No bet because I know it is."Swiftnight replied.The two she-cats smiled at each other and took their places at the base of the Highrock.

Brackenclaw and Lionheart were talking about His first time as a mentor, when they heared hawkstar's voice sound from the great rock. Brackenclaw padded forward, and Lionheart took his place at the base of the great rock.

"Tonight, we have gathered to name a new mentor to an apprentice."Hawkstar announced, looking at all the cats gathered below her.Giving a small smile to Brackenclaw, she yowled,"Lightningpaw,step forward!"

Lightningpaw stepped forward wondering nevously who his mentor will be .

"Until this apprentice has earned his warrior name, his mentor shall be Brackenclaw.Brackenclaw,you are ready for your first apprentice.Do not hesitate to ask me or some of the senior warriors for help if neccesary."

lightningpaw walked over to his mentor and cautiosly touched noses with him .

Hawkstar watched in satisfaction,a purr rumbling from the back of her throat.
