Lionheart sniffed the air. the cats were near sunningrocks. looked for prey. it was hot, so it would be all down in the cracks. he started away to the next boundry, but stopped in his tracks when he saw a vole. he dropped into a crouch, and lept on it, killing it with one bite.
"should we eat it," he said, looking at the vole, "Or just bring it back to the clan?"

She was right. there was no point to letting it go to waste. he wasn't hungry, though, and nosed it closer to greenfire. "I'm not hungry. you have it." he meowed.

"Ok. but not long. i smell shadowClan. well, i would they are right there." he said, flicking his tail in the derection of the shadowclan border. just then, he saw a clump of bracken move, and he spun around and hissed. he saw that it was only brackenclaw, and let his fur lay flat. "Why are you here, Brackenclaw?" the golder deputy asked. "Hawkstar sent me to patrol with you." the tabby tom said. "Oh, hi greenfire."

"Right. lets gt going." he signaled with his tail for them to fallow as he led his way down towards RiverClan. Brackenclaw sented vole, and dropped into a hunters crouch, and killed the vole, with only a small chace.

After they patrolled the RiverClan border without any incedent,Greenfire meowed,"okay,let's split up.Try catch something decent then head back to camp.We probaly shouldn't bother meeting up again should we?"She asked Lionheart.

"right, that sounds good." he turned and headed into the bracken, and brackenclaw went over to the river, hoping to catch some vater vole.
