My cousion is well...he's different...strange. Not in a he chooses to be like that kinda way, just...He's kind of retarted. I dont know how to explain it. He dosent have any original thoughts.
Well, he's stealing my life! It started about four years ago, Ive done karate since I was 3. He started taking karate! Then he started cooking, which the whole family knows is my thing!! Now he's going into his first year of high school and he is taking all of the cooking classes. Also, he is a kind of loner, like me (I choose to be, though ^^) And so many more things I can't even say!! HE"S STEALING MY WHOLE LIFE!! And he's making me feel like nothing is mine anymore...

Ugh! I know what u mean...my cousin's was like that too...my parents were just like. 'You need to set a good example for her...' blah blah blah...my cousin litterally was like that for a year or two...and then it just sorta stopped. How long has this been going on? It could be just a phase...if not...I think you should talk to him about it...see what he says...sry I'm not much help...

I haven't been in this sitution as most of my cousins are older than me...or three + years younger.
When I was about seven I started the guitar like my cousin who's about 18 months older than me. At the time i didn't think I chose it becaus of him...but now I wonder. If it was one thing I'd be flattered he wanted to be like me but it seems you past that stage and it's become annoying. If I take my cousin as an example, I'm so much more mature than him and he is a bit of a loner to my knowladge (the adolesant male that doesn't speak just sorta 'grunts' in reply) and it drives my grandparens up the wall.
If your family know it's your thing everything is all good. You could always make it work to your advantage, challenge him to a cooking contest and make your family sample the dishes...or do a duel (whatever, I don't do karate) and kick the cr*p out of him ;D

I do that anyway xD And they know, but because he's special they praise him and say 'this is amazing', meanwhile, my grandmother says I needed to add 'summer savory' to my PERFECT turkey for thanksgiving (I'm actually not joking ) and that for my lemon merangue pie it would have been better if I added the sugar to the eggwhites forst and when they were warm. She can be so annoying... Anwho, he has been doing it since we were little kids. I wanted to play spy, he wanted to play spy. When we were little, of course, xD And yeah, i am in grade 10 and he's in 8, so hes a bit younger than me. My other cousion is starting to do this as well, he wears polo shirts like me in the summer, but he's only 8 so it's just cute!

My younger sister does that to me constantly, even more so when she was about 3 or 4. It can be really troubling, I know, but if you get upset by it, it's gonna let him control you. Try beingg like a mentor to him in the cooking classes, or help him practice at home with the karate. I've done that with my sister, and it's really worked. Now that she's a couple years older she's doing other things. Once she started going to school(this applies with homeschool too), she started making friends and is the OPPOSITE of me. Yay! Maybe he just needs a little time to find his "niche."

I have never been in this situation, and from what you've said, I'm glad of it! And for the mentality rant, I'm in tenth grade and going to eleventh, but I'm mentally fives years old going on six! XD
