Not long after the death of the great ThunderClan leader, Firestar, sickness spreads thoughout the Clans. Herbs die, and so do many cats. With the strength of the Clans waining, and their faith becoming weaker and weaker, the remaining cats flee, becoming kittypets or loners. All except one.
A ShadowClan cat named Littleflame stays and waits for StarClan to answer her cry for help.
Moons later, SkyClan comes to see how the Clans are doing. They find Littleflame, who tells them that the Clans are gone.
SkyClan decides to do to them what Firestar did and rebuild.
But when disaster strikes, will the fragile new Clans survive?
