Blindeye had just entered the Elder's den 1 moon ago. She wasn't used to having apprentices clean her dirt or bringing her fresh kill. Even though she was as old as a middle aged warrior, her hearing and sight was gone on her left side. And she had no nose so she couldn't smell unless she opened her mouth. She never knew she could get sent to elder's den after one fight and a couple of injuries. She missed hunting, fighting, and going on patrols. She wasn't to fond of being called an elder. But, she had many stories to tell about her battles. She missed her apprentice Moonpaw. She hoped she would be able to make her a warrior but, that was impossible now. But, she was definetly not going to miss her warrior ceramony. She wandered who was going to be her mentor. She decided to put these thoughts aside. Then she noticed she hadn't been outside in thre sunrises. She decided to go outside.
When she was outside she couldn't help glancing at the warrior's den. It was almost sunhigh so noyone was in it. She wished she could go out hunting with Moonpaw again. She watched as the Dawn patrol came through the gorse tunnel. She wished one of them was her. She decided to go into old habits and get her one Fresh Kill. She went over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a plump rabbit. She decided to lie by the fresh kill pile and eat. She was looking at the entrance of the gorse tunnel. She started to go to the entrance. She didn't care what might happen she wanted to go hunting again. But, when she was at the entrance her old eye injury stopped her. She fell flat on her face.
She limped her way back to the elders den. To see it was empty. Then she remembered the morning before Rainstorm had passed away. She was now the only elder. She was sad at the fact that she might have to live alone her whole life until she joins StarClan. She was sad when she thought of how that was how Rainstorm died. She was sad at the thought. She just wanted to die on the spot. She wanted her journey to be over. She now couldn't hunt, fight, or any warriors tasks.
She decided to try hunting again. She went to the gorse tunnel and managed to get through. She started to go to fourtrees and opened her mouth. She was surprised how sharp her scent was. She smelt mouse, rabbit, and squirrel. She spotted the rabbit and went into a hunter's crouch. She crepted up and pounced. She had caught it. She was not surprised. Her hunting skills were still great. She heard something alot bigger. She felt a growl deep in her throat. Then she got in an attack position. She was relieved to smell Riverclan Scent.
