Sensing Candle's mind working. "Me and you can learn it so we can talk. Then, you could take the book that we are going to get back to your clan and teach a few kits or apprentices. And, we'll modify it for cats." Ivy tilted her head to the side and thought for a moment.
"I saw them do this," Ivy took her front paws, standing on her hind legs, and brushed her whiskers as if testing that they were there. "meaning a cat." She nodded. Brainstorming had made her a bit weary, but she had much energy stored up.

Candle-
Candle tilted his head. Book? How are we going to get a book? How will we read it? he thought. He looked at her, wondering what on earth she was thinking. They'd have to cross into one another's territory to find Twolegs...
His thoughts trailed off as she showed him the movement. He nodded, his tail twitching. He could not help but to feel excited. He was full of energy, ready to get this down...if only Ivy were in his clan! It would be so much easier!
He sighed...RiverClan, ThunderClan...mortal enemies...

Ivy looked at him, kind of reading his eyes. "My mother and my siblings used to live in the two-leg village... My mom tought me to read a little bit. Just so if I had to I could survive in the village." She said. She looked at her territory border that she was on and to his.
Ivy padded delicatly over to the pile of goose scat on a rock. She cringed, sitting in it. She began to roll around. So, it blended into her fur, but it wasn't able to be seen. "Hold your nose!" She laughed.
She crossed the RiverClan boundry. She was a bit nervous. But, she realized the ground felt the same. She smiled and said, "This book we are looking for in the Book Place, is mostly pictures. So, it won't be that hard to read. We will go now and be home by sun down."
OoC:// Squee! I shall now go and look up the ASL book I have in my room that I'm studying for CA class.

Candle-
The young tom's eyes widened with shock, both at her statement, and the fact that she was on his territory. The instincts to chase her off were there, but they were dim. He laughed in his head, this would be interesting.
He hoped dearly that they wouldn't get caught. If they did...he shuddered.
Then he chased those thoughts away and grinned, he flicked his tail to tell her to follow him and he pelted into the territory. He would lead her to the Twoleg place at the edge of the territory...and he would stay as far away from camp as possible.
He blinked, why was she doing this anyway...she didn't have to...she had just met him, his pace slowed at this point, as his confusion swept through his body. What did she owe him to do this? Nothing...so why...?

Ivy followed Candle happily. Her head was high and her paws came high in the air. She looked at him with a smile. She had been scared of being on River Clan's territory. But, it felt just like her own. She admired the few trees that seemed to be thinning out.
Ivy felt that Candle was slowing down. She looked at him and saw his sudden confusion. " I'm doing this because... I feel like it. Not because I'm sorry for you." She sighed to herself. ' And... because he's he's...' She couldn't finish her thought. She smiled brightly, covering up her blunder.

Candle stared at her, his eyes wide. You feel like it? You feel like crossing into enemy territory with a RiverClan apprentice would can't even talk... he thought.
Then he shook his head, amused at his own confusion and speed up again. Suddenly it hit him, he was going...home...maybe he'd run into Mist...suddenly the thought felt awkward...it would be strange to see Mist again...with a ThunderClan apprentice...he almost shuddered at the thought. He glanced at Ivy, and all thoughts were swept away.

Ivy blinked. She nodded at Candle. "Yea, I just feel like it... I'm like that." She grinned. Her body striked a graceful pose. She looked at Candle, her face a glow. She dipped her head and started forward, following him. She wondered what the two-leg town would be like after being in the forest for a while.
Ivy looked at Candle and entered a dreamy-like state. She sped up with him and slowed down too. She matched his very motion. t was fun. She stopped after a while, tired of the little game. She looked for something else to amuse her. She caught Candle's glance and blinked sheepishly.

Candle-
The young tom grinned, then quickly wiped it away. He shouldn't be doing this...with anyone...let alone a RiverClan apprentice...and a she-cat at that...if they were caught...well what would the Clan think? He knew they'd think the worst.
Candle sighed, as they neared a barn...an all to familiar barn. Candlepaw stopped in his tracks, while Candle wanted to run full speed away. He stared at the barn for a few moments. Then he started around it, keeping away. Please don't let her scent us...or see us...

Ivy could smell Candle's fear scent. She realized that she should keep quiet. She crouched low, waiting for a signal or somthing from Candle. Ivy looked at Candle admiringly. She grinned happily but, trembled with anticipation. Ivy observed the barn. It looked old and rickety. She wonderedwhat could live in there to make Candle scared. She shrugged to herself. The grass seemed thick. But, it scented as if it wasn't abondoned. She could smell a few animals. She peered over Candle.

His hair standing on end...he remember those nights long ago...spent running. Candle glanced at Ivy and hurried onward. A group of rouge cats lived...and judging by the scent...still did. They liked to torment those they thought weak. This had been his last challenge...before the clans.
Once they were almost out of range he relaxed. He let out the deep breath...the one he had just realized he had been holding. He grinned at Ivy. Sorry...

Ivy hurtled behind CAndle. She could feel the air in her fur and the suspense tingling in her paws. She looked behind them, and saw nothing. She flopped down playfully next to Candle. She laughed quietly and got back up. She only wheezed a little.
"So, where next?" She asked. She knew the streets of the town but, not how to get to the town. Ivy gazed up into the sky. She just had the sudden urge to glide like she did from tree to tree. She shook her head. There weren't many trees around.

Candle-
Candle blinked at her, then tilted his head, wondering if he should let her rest...no she was an apprentice...she'd be fine...right?
He tilted his head in the direction he was facing. He walked this time, in no hurry. He made his way through the field, the corn stalks going up way higher than he was tall. He stopped to wait...he didn't want to get lost in here...again...nor did he want Ivy to get lost either.
He waited, knowing his old home was just beyond the corn...and that it would take them a day to get through the field.

Ivy got up and followed Candle, her eyes gazing around curiously. She smiled but then looked at the cornstalks that surrounded her. She sniffed one, onlt to have the wind blow it into her nose. She sneezed and walked proudly on. She looked at Candle and wondered what he was thinking.
It never occured to Ivy how hard it would be to be mute. She thought of this now as she followed the toe further into the corn. She couldn't see the other side or the side they just came from either. She shrugged, knowing that Candle wouldn't get them lost..

Candle-
Candle paused, feeling the emotions flow off of her. It was sorta like pity...but it was different...somehow. Candle sighed, trying to like how to tell her how long this would take. So, he sat down in the soft soil and pointed his tail up to the dying sun above them. Then he made one claw mark into the dirt.
He glanced at her, checking to see if she understood. Thankfully, they hadn't gotten seperated...yet... There was still a good chance they could get lost... [/ Candle stopped himself there. No I will not think that!

"So, this will take about a day?" Ivy said, hoping she was correct in understanding. She wouldn't like to be wrong. She smiled and shurgged. "I don't care if you don't" She mewed with a wry grin, that she hid by pretending to clean her paw. She stopped cleaning herself. She bounced up on her paws and started prancing around Candle.
She laughed and began singing,silly-like. Her voice still came out pure and beautiful. She crooned. "Zippity do dah! Zippity hey! My oh, my, what a wonderful day! Plenty of sunshine, coming my way!" Ivy skipped slowly ahead and then, came back to Candle. "Are you ready?" She whispered into his ear, suddenly over her hyperness.
